His family adopted him when he was three. When he was eight he underwent a liver, small intestine, and pancreas transplant. In February of 2012 he went into full cardiac arrest at home. He is now waiting on the transplant list for five organs. Angel and his family are the definition of hope.
His sweet mother contacted me about a year ago, and gave me encouragement and support during those long months in the hospital. We have kept in contact, and have a deep connection that has formed from our common situations, and our faith and hope.
About a year ago, my little family of 4 had a photo shoot in this very location. Those pictures on that most precious possessions that I have. I had not been back to this location since then, and it was very emotional to be there again. I was reminded of Ruby, and her sweet spirit, that can be felt everywhere I go.
I am so glad I got to spend time with Angel, and his amazing family. The love that they have for each other is so deep, it is almost tangible.
